The UCLA Bedari Kindness Institute's Compassionate Conversations series returns with "Beyond the Divide: What the Science of Polarization Reveals, Right Before the Midterms." UCLA's Stuart Soroka and NYU's Jay Van Bavel dig into decades of research on polarization, including how our sense of division often outruns reality, and what it takes to have good conversations across difference. Aliza Luft moderates, and a reception follows.
