The Twentynine Palms Book Festival runs Friday, November 13 through Sunday, November 15 in my hometown in California's High Desert, near Joshua Tree. More than 100 authors take part across panels, workshops, offsite readings and a three-day book fair, celebrating the desert's people, landscapes and stories.
